Unshaken by all the odds he had to face, this young champ from Bhadoi Uttar Pradesh, Yashasvi Jaiswal has made it to the list of India U-19 team for the Sri Lanka tour.
Yashasvi Jaiswal moved to Mumbai at a young age to pursue his cricketing dream. Occasionally his father managed to send some money but that was not enough. Struggling to make a living he sold Pani Puri & helped sell fruits in the Azad maidan and slept with groundsmen in the tents of the Muslim United Club.
Making obstacles the stepping stones of his achievements he struggled hard to make ends meet, when one fine day he met Jwala Singh the owner of a cricket academy in Santacruz. Singh was taken aback by the young boy’s dedication & love for the game and decided to train this middle order batsman. From fitness training to proper diet and nutrition from arranging for his stay to cricket coaching he did it all for the budding star. He is hopeful that yashasvi has a long way to go and his selection in the U-19 team is just the beginning.
Recently he was a special invitee at the master blasters residence where he was gifted a bat signed by Sachin Tendulkar followed by a tutorial on cricket. Hope these lessons from the legend make Yashasvi successful in the upcoming tour and many more to come.
